Hi my name is Laura. As an Armenian myself, it is heartbreaking to watch devastating events happening to Armenia. Me, my family, and other Armenians around the world are absolutely terrified and heartbroken about the current conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan is using the COVID-19 pandemic to get away with what they're doing. They are attempting to attack several villages. For those who do not know much about Armenia and what has happened in the past and now currently, I will take my time to explain. Armenia is a small country. Armenia is one of the oldest nations in the world  and was the first nation to declare Christianity. In 1915, the Ottoman Turks committed Genocide against the Armenians, killing over 1.5 million  Armenians and displacing millions more. Currently there are 3 million Armenians living in Armenia, about 150,000 in Artsakh/ Nagorno-Karabakh, and 11 million globally. THIS IS HAPPENING AGAIN. Turkey is allies with Azerbaijan, another country bordering Armenia. Armenia is landlocked and surrounded by Muslim nations under Erdogan's influence (leader of Turkey). There is an ongoing border conflict in the Nagorno- Karabakh region between Armenia and Azerbaijan. That land is historically Armenian land and is 95% Armenian population. Azerbaijan has attacked Armenia several times but over the summer the conflict gotten worse. On Sunday, September 27th, Azerbaijan attacked the the capital of Artsakh/Nagorno- Karabakh. Erdogan is working with ISIS to surround Armenia's borders to invade, attack, and wipe out Armenians and all Christians in the region. Armenians peaceful civilian population has been under attack by Azerbaijan. Children and citizens have been in terror and need your support. Azerbaijan forces have bombed: a kindergarten class, a bakery, a textiles mask creating 300,000 face masks for citizens daily, and a historic Armenian cathedral church!  Poor people and children are in constant fear of death and are having to stay in bunkers. Children are confused and are CRYING for help. INNOCENT, young soldiers who have families are taking a risk and standing up for Armenia, to save our country, fighting for their lives, and for Armenia! We are fighting to make sure the Armenian genocide will NOT REPEAT . Armenia has NEVER attacked another country. Any war or conflict has strictly been defensive. We need help, no country is helping us. What we need from all of you is SUPPORT, ADVOCACY, MONEY, MEDICAL SUPPLIES, and PRAYERS.

I know so many of you on here are social justice warriors, dedicated to standing up for what is right and standing against what is evil. We need your help. We need your voice. Will you please stand beside me and my people? The least you can do is educate yourself, share what is going on. This war has ruined so many lives. Killed so many Armenians and separated many families. We will all live with this pain as we have been for 105 years and more. Unfortunately, this will be known as the 2nd Armenian genocide.
