With the event of 2 mass shootings in less than 24 hours in El Paso, TX and Dayton, OH, now is the time to eliminate “gun free zones” and allow law abiding, concealed carry permit holders to carry their firearms without restrictions provided that he or she is not consuming alcohol.

All of the recent mass shootings have been in malls, theaters, bars, churches - all places where guns were prohibited making the victims sitting, defenseless targets.

Therefore, we move the states and federal government to remove gun free zones unless there is armed security or law enforcement present and access to the building is controlled by metal detectors. If metal detectors are present, then the party in charge of the building shall provide storage safes for law abiding gun owners while they are inside the building with the gun owner in possession of the key or combination to the storage locker/safe.
