It has recently come to my attention that only certain veterans are eligible for certain discounts. Regardless of the fact that they might have served a good length of time in the military and were given an honorable discharge. 

Such as in the case of my eighty one year old grandfather. He was planning on taking two of his granddaughters to Disney World for their birthdays this December. Both of his granddaughters are avid Disney fans. Unfortunately, for the whole family, he was informed that he couldn’t receive a military discount because of the fact that he didn’t retire or have a military related injury. Even though he served honorably for seven years, rose to the rank of corporeal and was honorably discharged.

So if our veterans are not permanently injured, killed or retired they can’t receive certain discounts. This, in my mind and the mind of many others, isn’t fair or just!

Our veterans, all of our veterans, need to know that they’re respected for the service and years they dedicated to our country! They should be eligible for all military discounts, including those that are for theme parks and events! Help us show our veterans, all our veterans, that we care about them!
