Poway, California, April 27, 2019: 1 dead, 3 injured.

Gilroy, California, July 28, 2019: 3 dead, 12 injured.

El Paso Texas, August 3, 2019: at least 19 dead, and numerous injuries (too recent to confirm all deaths and injuries).

All of these events have one thing in common. They are all attacks perpetrated by people who identify or sympathize with the White Supremacist and Neo-Nazi movements. It is an international problem. Unfortunately, the US government has failed to label groups such as the Ku Klux Klan, Aryan Brotherhood, Blood and Honour, etc. The FBI has stated that domestic terrorism by White Supremacists is on the rise. Yet, President Trump has decided to focus his attention on groups that have not killed anyone, and stated he would declare them terrorist organizations.

I am petitioning Donald Trump and the US State Department to stop going after movements that have not killed anyone, and instead declare known violent extremist groups that have killed thousands as terrorist organizations. It’s time to stop ignoring the deadly threat growing in our country, and in the world, and start addressing it.
