Currently, the world is facing one its most life threatening problems it has ever faced: Global Warming. Global temperatures are rising, polar caps are melting, and carbon emissions are exponentially increasing. In order for the world to be set back on track, action must be immediately taken. If the U.S. were to to implement a 10% carbon tax per ton of carbon emission we could drastically lower America's carbon output as well as incentivize businesses to look for cheaper sources of energy. Furthermore, America would be setting an example for its allies and to the rest of the world. We would be promoting alternative sources of energy which other countries could help fund and research.

This solution and implementation has already been seen to be effective in many other countries. Countries such as Sweden, Ireland, and Australia have already implemented such tax and have shown amazing results. The amount of gas and oil burned plummeted and carbon emissions were drastically reduced. If this were implemented in America it would be a great step towards saving our earth.
