It's May 7, 2019, there have been 116 mass shooting just this year. Many of those were schools. I'm a high schooler and I'm scared that I'm going to walk into school one day and not make it out. Many other students have the same worry in their head. Students should not be worried about going to school and not making it back out. There needs to be a change. The gun law needs to be changed and I think we can change the law by changing the legal age to be able to purchase a gun. Right now the age to purchase a gun is 18. 18-year old's...high schoolers are able to own guns. Though 18-year-olds are adults I don't think that is the right age to be able to purchase a gun. Some of the guns purchased end up in the wrong hands. The best thing we can do to stop having guns end up in the wrong hands is to change the age to own a gun. I also don't like the thought of kids growing up and thinking that school shootings are the norm. I'm really just trying to get people talking about this idea. I want people to come up with ideas to change this. This is one possible way to help make a change. Someone has to do something.
