Latin is the inspiration of many modern day languages, however, it is not an official language itself.
Solution
This can be fixed by having officials push to make changes in order to recognize Latin as an official language. Latin deserves to become an official language because it is a large part of our heritage. It symbolizes that no living language is preeminent over the unified European or American identities. Due to the similarities that it already has with several of those languages, it would not be difficult to learn and to communicate.
