During this time of financial uncertainty i believe it would be prudent to allow people 59 1/2 older to remove money from their 401k's without having to pay the federal taxes on it.

This change will hopefully help people cope with job lose,mortgage payments,medical bills and more.Also i think this can help with student loan payments.As a parent with one child still in school and two out,all with student that we try to help them with this would be a big relief to all of us.

This change does not have to go on indefinitely .There can be a hard deadline or or a deadline that can be renewed on a as need basis .There also can be a withdrawal amount limit on this proposal .Also i believe this should be open for all citizens who would like to take advantage of this proposal.There should not be a minimum balance requirement amount in your 401K to access it.After this crisis has passed all withdrawal rules and taxes should be put back in place.

I do think this change will be beneficial to the people of this age group to relieve the stress of having to worry about unexpected expenses during this crisis.
