Recently it has been revealed that the Stafford County School District of VA is trying to pass a bill that in turn, bans teachers and staff from using a students preferred pronouns or name. This can only be allowed if the teacher sends them directly to counseling. But in another document, it states that federal and state laws protect the rights and privacy of trans students, which this is in direct violation of. It also has not been open to the public, and has no publications detailing the exact repercussions trans youth might face, meaning this is being kept under wraps and is meant to be done quietly. But luckily, informants are giving out information, and alerting us to this heinous act. Please spread the word and sign this petition, so we can have a prominent voice in how we want to be treated, and so transgender students don't have to suffer due to others personal opinions.
