While I don't care for most of the shareholder proposals I see in proxy statements, if I’m an owner via stock, I’m an owner! I deserve to be able to speak directly to the Board of Directors and my fellow shareholders about the running of our company.

As an independent investor I should have the right to share in the policy process of the companies I invest in. The cumulative value of many retail investors has to be of value equal to a few institutional investors.
