The children in this combo class have seen enough classroom change throughout this school year. 

They came to school fresh off the pandemic school year, we’re thrust into a combo class and experienced the classroom management of a very inexperienced teacher.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, said teacher had to take leave. As of February, this class was taken over by a very capable long term substitute who organized the classroom management, got rid of the chaos, improved reading abilities, set successful expectations, signed up appropriate programs that were not being used, the list goes on. 

Please don’t disrupt this forward movement to satisfy 6 weeks of job placement (part time job placement) and undo all if the success and improved academic performance these kids have shown. 

They do not deserve yet another disruption, they do not deserve to suffer loss yet again, they do not deserve to go through another period of change. Haven’t they been through enough? 

These kids deserve to thrive. Let’s keep our long term substitute through the end of the year.
