I have two elderly parents, that need assistance- and certainly social security income will not pay- and I am also turning 62 years next year -and worry about my future.

I live with my mother 24/7 which keeps her out of a nursing home. I have been doing this for almost a year. I am grateful to Redwood Caregiver Resource Center for advising me and helping me with education and respite. Without them I would not have known where to turn. Anyone who thinks this is an easy job...needs to do it for a year...then we'll talk.

I am an RN Case Manager, and I refer patients and families with Dementia, Alzheimer's, Stroke and Parkinsons to Del Oro Caregiver Center all the time. Please do not cut this very valuable resource. It offers wonderful support to those in need, along with much needed educationals programs!!

I was a caregiver to my husband who died of Lung Cancer. I sure could have used support/resources such as the CRC has to offer, it is truly overwhelming to do on your own!

I spent lonely, often overwhelming months as a 24-hr. sole caregiver for my husband. So much went wrong with the connections I needed to get equipment. I was given no training and thrust into the role. I needed resources.

We should not balance the budget at the expense of the most vulnerable in society. Programs have already been slashed down to the bone, there is nothing left to cut. Stand up and demand the 1% pay their fair share, the 99% are already under served due to all the service cuts!

As a Gerontology student and part-time caregiver for my father I can't imagine more cuts being made to valueable social service programs; especially with a now larger cohort of elderly individuals aging in need of care and resources to age in place. Making more cuts to the California Resource Center will only increase the cost of caring for adults with chronic conditions, which makes no sense. I urge Governor Brown and the legislature to not make anymore cuts to these valuable
programs.
