Brielle Bratton started this petition to Don Ryan and

His name was John Henry Gray Jr. He was a father, a friend, a faithful churchgoer and a shining light of positivity to all who came into contact with him. He worked at the 50 Clinton Street building for about 3 years as a security guard and parking liaison. A woman from the building he worked in would always bring him coffee every morning and had it at his desk but one morning she didn't bring it at the regular time, so he went to get coffee from across the street. He was hit by a car while crossing the street and died upon impact. Later in the morning, not knowing what had happened I saw the cup of coffee the woman always brings him waiting at his desk waiting for him just like any other day. It wasn't like any other day.  He didn't deserve to die that way. Hempstead streets have been a safe haven for speeding and reckless driving and as a result, John is no longer here to say " Happy Friday" as he always would.

I am proposing that during rush hour Monday to Friday 7 to 9 A.M. and from 4 to 6 P.M that the speed limit of 25 miles per hour be invoked through Hempstead and cameras to enforce the new regulation. Please don't let Johns's death shouldn't just be another story another day in Hempstead, He meant so much to so many people. Don't let his death be in vain. Please support and share and share again.
