Recently, Waterville Jr. High school developed a new way to organize children for contact tracing. Instead of the old system where students sat down where they wanted, recorded where they sat, and remained there for the week, students now are assigned seats based on who's in their class. This does not account for people who don't have friends in their class. Students who don't get to see their friends enjoy school less and in turn produce lower grades. We should be able to choose our seating at lunch and breakfast to have a more enjoyable time at school.
