Let’s STOP the Village of Caledonia from building a Dollar General store right in our back yard. PLEASE come to the Village Meeting on September 7 2021 at 7pm.  This is going to lower our property values. We don’t need another Dollar General store. There is one in Douglas and a Dollar Tree store on 3 Mile and Erie. We don’t need a business in our backyard!! Most of us moved to Caledonia to be free of stores and of the city crime and such. I don't think putting something on a corner where there are kids is safe. My sons bus stop is right on that corner I don’t need something to happen to him because someone is rushing into the Dollar General store. Keep the neighborhoods as neighborhoods, and keep the retail where it belongs in a more traveled area. I am sure they will get more Business. There are plenty of business areas they can put the a dollar general like on 3 mile and Main by the dry cleaners and the bank that’s there I know that’s Racine. They can use the  K-mart building that’s been closed since 2019.  We should fill the empty businesses that are in Caledonia now.
