Dog Park for Highland Row residents

Highland Row dog owners – Do you want a dog park? There is a great opportunity for you to have one. Your landlord, Milhaus, is in the process of selling the vacant land just to the west of your apartment buildings which is on the east side of Ellsworth Street. Part of that land could be reserved for you and your dogs. The one tree on the Highland Row property that was not removed would make a great center piece for the dog park. Imagine sitting on a bench in the shade of the tree, watching your dog frolic unfettered by a leash.
This can happen but only if you demand it from Milhaus. The plans for developing the land include houses on all of the lots except where the tree is located. Milhaus could build the dog park, and there would still be ample room for houses. The Memphis Land Use Control Board will act on the proposal on April 13, so action is needed NOW!
Highland Row advertises that it is Pet Friendly and allows two pets per home. To truly make Highland Row pet friendly, a dog park is required.
Sign the peltition to let Highland Row - Milhaus know that you need a dog park.
