Two weeks before Sherry Mills died, she asked her mother to take care of her Chihuahua Carmella if something were to happen to her. Something did happen, she was murdered. The reality is here and Sherry's mother is trying to honor Sherry's wishes and keep Carmella safe in her home.
Poor Carmella may have seen her mommy murdered, she was found at the crime scene. Sherry's mother has been fighting in court with the man who last saw Sherry before he allegedly found her beaten unconcious in his apartment. She died of severe head trauma and her death has been ruled a homicide and is still open.
This man was recently awarded custody of Carmella by a county court judge. This order was appealed and the Estate's personal representative (Sherry's mother) and also a petition has been filed in the probate court to have this man declared the felonious killer of Sherry Mills, and as such he cannot inherit or obtain surviorship rights in any property that was owned by Ms. Mills.
On June 20, 2014 the probate court denied a stay of execution of the county court's order telling Sherry's mom to hand over Carmella to the alleged killer. Carmella is supposed to be given to the alleged killer before 5pm on Monday, June 23. She and her lawyer are doing everything legally in their power to halt this transfer of this sweet, gentle, little dog who has happily been living with Sherry's mom since early December.
