Arnel Sauer started this petition to Dog groomers and

Dog Groomers are not seen as an essential service - what about the people who are not able to groom their own dogs due to either not having the facilities within their homes, the elderly, people who's dogs are too scared and cant be handled by just one person, people without the skills to know how to trim dog nails, wash and cut them.  Many dogs have not been groomed for over 30 days and this can result in long nails, matted fur and other health issues. Responsible pet ownership includes grooming dogs as well.  There are many small grooming businesses that rely on income from clients that are suffering because of no income for over 30 days. Taking you dog to the groomers and allowing mobile groomers to your house poses VERY little risk of transmitting the Corona virus. As with the shops, wearing of masks and disinfecting hands is so easy to implement.  The government has not been concerned about the welfare of animals during this crisis - animal rescue organisations get no support, animal abuse is ongoing, people are surrendering their dogs.  Please help signing this petition to lift the ban to help these small businesses and their employees as well as the animals that are suffering.  We want to try and get at least 5000 signatures please!
