Jennifer Quinn started this petition to Dog Days and

My 7-pound Papillon dog, Maddie,  was left alone with a Pit Bull Mix at Dog Days Daycare -Westside location in Atlanta, GA on September 19, 2020 and was killed. I have received 2 other stories of dogs being mauled by Aggressive  Breed Dogs at the Buckhead location. They handed Maddie to me in a dirty blanket, face uncovered with Her eyes open, tongue sticking out and bits of flesh imbedded in her facial fur.

I want pet owners who take their pets to kennels and/or veterinarians to be aware that dangerous and/or aggressive dog breeds, ie: American Pit Bulls & mixed breeds maybe on the premises.

Patrons of these establishments should be made aware that aggressive dogs could be present by having signage placed in plain sight of the front door in legible English stating that “Aggressive Breed Dogs Might Be on the Premises.”

This signage will prompt those with small breed dogs or animals to determine if this is the proper setting for their pets to spend time in. Regardless of the personal opinion of such dogs, human error and negligence can play a factor in the life or death of your animal, as it did for Maddie.

This petition will serve as the public’s outcry for the need to regulate these notoriously under-regulated kennels and promote awareness that injury &/or death may occur while the pet is under the supervision of such places.
