My name is Morgan Parker. I am 25 years old and I live in Kingston Ontario. I moved to Kingston in May of 2020.Kingston is an amazing place to live however there is around 15,000 people in the city without a family doctor, the wait time for a family doctor here is on average 5 years. I have multiple, chronic health issues that needs the care of a general practitioner. However there are many people in the same boat as me. I'm starting this petition to bring attention to this issue and hopefully get more family doctors to beautiful Kingston Ontario. The city has so much to offer. As a young adult with multiple, and some potentially devastating chronic health conditions that impact every aspect of my quality of life I think Kingston would be complete with more family doctors. I am asking for your signature and the help and support of the good people of Kingston to make this dream a reality. I have read many heartbreaking stories from people in multiple Kingston community groups that are suffering due to the lack of access to family doctors. I'm hoping with the help of people like you, in the community of Kingston Ontario and beyond can help me, and not only me but the entire community so we can banish 5 year wait lists to access a family doctor.
