A college union is an elected body by the students. It should work for the students and should uphold their interests. The elected college union 2019-2020 of Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Kottayam has been a majority of SFI and have been taking decisions unanimously without the consent of elected representative of other political parties and independent candidates.

The latest update of the college union put forward the decision of the setup of RADIO RIT which have been into discussions since 2018 and budding period under the Tinkerhub RIT club and was on a hold due to lack of funds. But rather collaborating with the existing heads behind the idea ,the union is claiming the idea of RADIO RIT as the one proposed newly by the cultural wing of SFI " SAMSKARA" lately formed by march of 2020. Radio of a college that is meant to be the voice of students, an independent reflection of their ideas have now taken its form into as a voice of the political organisation behind it. The decision was even unanimously taken without the knowledge of representatives of other organisations.

The college union should not stand for the personal interests of its parental political organisation rather should stand for the students who elected them and should address the interests of the students.

By signing this petition you disagree with this decision of the college union and demand the decision to be withdrawn and changed according to the interests of the students.

Your opinion matters and express your opinions. RADIO RIT will bud with the students partcipation. Good future RADIO RIT !
