Street lighting on the NDR

The Norwich Northern Distribution Road (NDR), or Broadland Northway as it's been named, is a very useful (but as yet incomplete) new road that takes some traffic away from the north side of the Norwich ring road and surrounding roads.

There are currently approximately 10 junctions on the NDR with at least one roundabout at each. 2 of these junctions have more complex layouts including slip roads, such as the A140 junction and the Postwick/A47 east junction.

Some of these junctions have countdown markers , some do not.

With the exception of the Postwick junction, none of these are lit.

If we look at all the other main routes in Norfolk, such as the A140, A11, A47, A148, A12. Almost every roundabout on these roads has street lighting, with the odd exception (A140 Pulhams, A148/B1436 Felbrigg/Cromer)

There are already signs that an accident or accidents have occurred at at least one of these junctions.

We need Norfolk County Council to look into installing street lighting on these junctions as a matter of urgency.
