This is important because this young person was brave enough to expose the corruption of doping by Russian athletes, and was punished by the IOC for her honesty. This reveals how corrupt the IOC is!

Shawn Barber tested positive for cocaine before Rio Olympics.
He was allowed to go to Rio. Most of the athletes use it. Either disqualify them all or do not touch anyone.
I am for punishing them all including Stepanova. Stepanova was punished correctly. No one forced her to take drugs. Most of the athletes do it in full awareness.

A citizen trying to progress in her sport, in a country where doping is endemic, draws attention to the corruption and is then made the scapegoat in order for the IOC to save face in light of its own failures. This says a great deal about the shortcomings of the IOC and seems grossly unjust.
