Starting January of 2022, a new rule was put in place for Publix Employees, who purchase stock, can only appoint a beneficiary if it is a legal spouse or non-minor child(children). If a Publix employee does not have the privilege to have either or choose to not have either, then they are not allowed to have a beneficiary unless they hire out of their own pocket for a trust to be written up on their behalf. This petition is to spread awareness of this unfair rule and to gain supporters to help change it.
