The deer population in Nova Scotia is very serious in towns all around the province. Truro and Lunenburg are two examples. The current bag limit for deer in the province is 1 with a rifle, 1 with a bow, and 1 with a muzzle loader. This petition could be a start towards getting the bag limit raised for at least a year (deer season is about 1 month per year). These animals can be pests, can carry a LOT of ticks, are getting dangerously domesticated, and have no natural predators in the province. Sign this petition to get our government to help thin the deer population by allowing either a change in bag limits or starting a cull of some sort.
