New CA law requires all restaurants and bars to close again due to COVID-19 cases increasing once more in California. Starbucks has not closed its lobbies even though it is recognized as a restaurant or “fast food” restaurant and employees are outraged. We also need hazard pay to go through this difficult time. We need to protect our partners and although these greedy companies will not let us close, we at least have to properly compensate the employees that help this business run. Social distancing cannot exist when customers are free to enter and exit when they want and not stand 6 feet apart. They come in without masks and we as “servers” cannot ask them to wear one or leave. It is putting our partners in danger. Please help us close the lobbies and give hazard pay to the employees still working during this pandemic!
