End party donor secrecy in NI from Jan 2014 onwards

We need your urgent help.
On Tuesday, 19th December, at 2.30pm, a Delegated Legislative Committee at Westminster will debate a bill to end party donor secrecy in Northern Ireland. This means all donations to parties over £7,500 will be published.
However, the bill has a major problem. It only applies to donations made after July 2017. Naomi Long's bill in Parliament set an original backdate of Jan 2014 should donations ever be published - this has been ignored.
There's only one explanation for this. The DUP received £435,000 during the EU referendum campaign, to take out an ad in the London Metro. Normally, the donation would be investigated - but because NI's laws differ from the rest of the UK, that hasn't happened. There is even talk the money came from Saudi Arabia.
We already know the money came from the Constitutional Research Council. But where did an organisation, otherwise small and unknown, get such money? Publishing party donations means making them subject to investigation.
People across the UK deserve to know if dark money swayed the EU referendum.
The committee can't block the legislation. But they can send out a powerful message to decision makers that this bill is not good enough, and people across the UK won't accept it.
We deserve better than a cover-up of dark money. Sign our petition and share urgently to make sure our voice is heard.
