DJ Meaning

DJ Meaning
For centuries we have been lead to acknowledge DJ's as the formal "Disc Jockey". For many reasons we must band together to change this outdated term.
For one, most systems are now digital. Now don't attack. I own a turntable. I own records. I love the sound and am not here to argue this aspect of our music history. But this is simply not the way the music is being presented to us in the present day. We need to grow up and get with the times.
And who came up with "jockey"? It makes me think of horses. And while horses may be involved in the DJ community now, it is not presenting us with the correct understanding of the talented individuals who provide us with entertainment.
You may be saying "but I love the term DJ" or "so many of my favorite artists have DJ in their name, how would this impact them?" Well let me explain my thinking. I, too, am invested in the term DJ - just not the meaning behind it. So, at long last, my proposal is to make the term we all know and love to mean:
DANCE JAMSTER
Why? Because we dance. We dance as one to the glorious sounds they emit to our delicate ears. We dance to show our love and appreciation for all the good they bring to our lives. And Jamster? Because they're fucking jamming. They are Jamster.
So where do we go from here? Glad you asked. We move forward. We progress as a community and fight for a better tomorrow. Help us fight this cause and bring joy and happiness to all.
