Please make biking in DC safer! Connecting more parts of the city with protected trails is also a small but important step in fighting greenhouse gas emissions by making biking a feasible alternative to other forms of transportation.

Without protected lanes, delivery trucks, random drivers, utility workers, and everyone else under the sun will park in the bike lanes.

Cycling contributes to the physical health of riders, and bikes, unlike cars, do not contribute to air pollution and global warming.

I take this everyday and it's always more precarious that it should be. FedEx trucks are impatient and always force bikers into danger.

There are few good cross-town cycling options - I live immediately adjacent to the MBT and when I need to get over to Dupont I usually just take the metro. Would love to have a protected lane.
