Many schools around the U.S. charge fees for lunch. However, some parents can't afford to pay those fees and some are unable to make their children lunches to take to school. If we made school lunches free though, parents wouldn't have to worry if their kid gets to eat or not, and the child going to school could eat their meal and be energized for the rest of their day at school.
