Better use of funds by the Copper Coast Council to service the wider Community

We, the undersigned, respectfully call on the District Council of the Copper Coast to reconsider the proposed development of the estimated $1.1 million (plus ongoing running costs to ratepayers for maintenance) pedestrian footbridge in the marina, from the Wallaroo Coppers Ale House to Pamir Court in the Marina.

Funds should be allocated to services that benefit the wider community, not the minority.

We have a stunning marina basin.  Lets not obstruct it with a 150m long footbridge (with rotating opening) that will also affect the lifestyles of boat and yacht owners in the marina.

Why not spend the funds on a something like a community bus, to service the wider community and provide transport services to all age groups to travel between Wallaroo, Moonta and Port Hughes.

Please reconsider this development.

Thank you,

Concerned residents and ratepayers of the Copper Coast
