As you aware there are large number of quarries working in the high range areas of our state. By signing this petition I would like to make some noise against those people who have given the approval for the quarries without proper investigation.

When we look into the issues relating to quarries we may find large number of petitions. In this petition I would like to take your attention to Naduvil Grama Panchayat where I live. If you check, you will see all the quarries were given permission without any background investigation(which may not be required technically for approval). All are working in the western ghats areas and this should be closed for a better tomorrow. 

For example, Palakkayam thattu one of the most beautiful tourist place in Kannur district is now surrounded by three quarries. The Panchayat does not have any account about methods used in these quarries and amount of stones extracted. All these leads to landslides, polluting the natural water resources and moreover making the people life difficult in the region.

I would like to ask all of you to sign the petition for a better tomorrow by protecting our nature from man made disasters.
