I believe that students should get a day off after some of the more time-consuming holidays. These holidays include Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and New Year's Eve. Our first goal is to reach the District 5 schools.

The first is Christmas because at Christmas lots of people travel to spend time with family. This causes them to be out later and then be tired at school the next day. The same goes for Thanksgiving. For example, my family has made an unspoken tradition of going and meeting up at my cousins' for Thanksgiving. It is very common for people to meet with their family during these holidays.

On Halloween, kids are normally out much later than they would usually be. This is because of trick-or-treating. Preventing school kids from trick-or-treating would be harsh, so I suggest we just give a day off after Halloween.
