A small, bad quality chicken sandwich or burger isn't enough to give a high school student the nutrition and energy they need to do well at school. This year they changed school lunches to be free, but also cutting the amount and quality of the food. Having a free lunch as an option should certainly be a thing, but at least make a more substantial option, even if it is paid. People have paid for school lunch for decades, and they will definitely do so today for their health, well-being, and grades.
