This year D-155 has decided to switch fully to Canvas for students day to day online learning. This program is frustrating, unorganized, and confusing for every student. Assignments are not marked submitted or missing, there is no stream of when information by the teacher has been posted, there are multiple different steps to go through to find assignments, and confusing tabs that create confusion and frustration. Teachers who have experimented with Canvas in past years have only received negative feedback. With this years fully remote plan, Google Classroom should be the application students are provided to receive their class assignments and information because it has already proven to be successful. Students have easy access to google classroom through their phones and chrome books, it it connected to other google applications that are used day to day, and all students have the knowledge on how to use this application already. Why add to the stress, by making students struggle with Canvas, when they could use the already easy, organized, and familiar Google Classroom. Please sign this petition so we can show D-155 our need to switch back to Google Classroom.
