I have been in the uk for 22 years and 1 month to be precise. I came here as a EEA family member in May  '2000. When I applied for ILR in 2004 my step mother decided not to support me and my sisters application, thus it was refused due to letter sent by step mother.

Since then I have made many applications and have spent thousands of pounds on solicitors , barristers again and again after multiple apeals and refusals. 

My local MP has written to the Home Office many times, to. Which we have recieved No response. I continued working as I had a case in the home office. 
I got married in 2012 and had two British children and British husband. At this point I was given the 10 year route. 

I then applied for settlement after news came that under EU settlement to which I maybe entitled to. This would save me about £2,000 on application fees and life would be good after all that. Now the new policy states for Zambrano carers that we are not entitled to apply because we already had leave to remain. 

In theory, I spent £2500 for a visa and paid NHS fee. We had a lockdown. One year application for the  zambrano application. My documents were kept by the home office for 6 months. Now, after all that the visa has run out. 

I have always worked since year 2000. I have Never claimed public funds. I have a professional qualification as a fully registered & qualified nurse. I really do not know where I have gone wrong to have all this additional stress in my life, who do I blame? 

So how is it fare when people who are illegal and not working get settled visa and people who have been contributing taxes and working don’t. Is it the system? Is it public who is abusing the systems? When I tell people I am still not settled in the country they get shocked. 

was this another trick from the government to waste publics time and to make money too ??
