Ridley Scott, considered one of the best directors of our time, is taking making a big screen version of Exodus from the Bible. It will be joining the upcoming Noah and the previous hit mini-series The Bible in a long list of bad casting - bad because they cast white actors of eurpoean decent to play iconic religious figure, contining the idea of white as better and priviledged. Imagine how perceptions would change if the people cast were actually from the region and resembled what the historical figures might have looked like. It would promote diversity in our film culture and provides an accurate representation of history and Biblical figures. In turn, it will help promote better relations and understanding of the contributions of the Middle East.
