An Australian Catholic Archbishop, 67-year-old Philip Wilson was convicted on the 2nd June, 2018 in Newcastle court in NSW, Australia, of concealing child abuse in 1971, the abuse involved Catholic Father Jim Fletcher who died in jail in 2006 while serving a jail term for molesting young boys within the Catholic Church.

Archbishop Wilson, despite having a criminal conviction for protecting a known paedophile refuses to resign his position at the Catholic Church. Archbishop Wilson also did not have to go to jail, but it is likely he will be given home detention.

 This is not good enough, only a jail term will suffice I call on the NSW Director of Public prosecutions to appeal the mild sentence and I ask that the Archbishop of Melbourne, Denis Hart to force Archbishop Philip Wilson to resign from the Catholic Church.
