Make court proceedings of Kathua and Unnao cases public

As per Supreme Court directive, the proceedings in High Court are recorded on Closed Circuit Television cameras but are not made open to the public. Supreme Court has directed that this footage is relevant only for security purpose. But the Kathua and Unnao rape cases have attracted major public interest due to the upsetting nature of the crime.

We request Chief Justice of India, Mr. Dipak Misra to make the court proceedings of this case public so that millions of people who are not in Jammu can see and understand the decision of the court. This grave matter has caused a deep divide in the people of India on ideological and religious grounds, anything less than complete transparency in the decision making process will only lead to speculation and sensationalisation.
