Justice4dwoods started this petition to Dimetrious Woods

On Jan.1,2017, the Missouri Legislature took away the law requiring drug offenders to be sentenced to non parolable sentences. The State of Missouri deemed this law to only benefit those going forward, never minding those like Dimetrious Woods, who had already served 11 YEARS on a drug charge. Dimetrious, disagreeing, filed suite against the State, w/ Cole County Judge Daniel Green agreeing w/ his position, he was given a parole hearing, the parole board granted Dimetrious an immediate release date (Mar.23,2018) in which Dimetrious has overwhelmingly upheld his position of being a law abiding citizen. In the meantime the Missouri Attorney General’s Office has relentlessly filed appeals in an effort to strip Dimetrious & those alike of their freedom, while the criminal justice system suffers dearly from over-crowd ness & a lack of adequate staff. There is surely a better way to spend tax-payer’s money. Please help us petition this horrific attempt upon a law - abiding citizen!!!
