Don't go public without a woman on the Board of Directors
Twitter may be the future of social networking, but the all-male Board of Directors follows an age-old trend of excluding women. The excuse that there aren’t enough qualified women is older than the internet. In 2013 no company should be going public with an entirely white male board.
It’s not right and it’s not smart. Time and again research has shown that companies perform better when the Board reflects its employee and customer base. That’s why 95% of S&P 100 companies have women on their Board. Google, Facebook and even IBM, the century-old tech company, have women on their Board.
Twitter loses credibility with no women. Tweet CEO Dick Costolo: Don’t go public without a woman on your Board.
