Breanna Bragg started this petition to Senator Dianne Feinstein

The income limit for families to qualify subsidized childcare in California is a little of $42,000 a year. The cost of living in California is extremely high and most people have to make more than this limit to survive. If a family makes more than the limit, they are not eligible to receive state funding for childcare of preschool in California. Families who make over the limit either have to find alternative ways to find care for their children or pay out of pocket for a private daycare or preschool for their children to attend. The average cost for full time preschool in California is $1000 per child. I have made this petition to ask California Senators to be an advocate for working families and help increase the income limit to be more inclusive for Californians.
