The government is issuing a stimulas pkg for all Americans in Lieu of Covid19. Married couples will receive $2400 for their household plus $500 for each minor that lives with them. Single parents will receive $1200 for their household plus $500 for each minor child that lives with them. Basically, if you are a single parent responsible for your household, you are getting penalized. A single parent has the same expenses as a couple has, but doesn’t have the benefit of a dual income. 
Each “household” should receive the benefit, $2400 for each household plus the $500 for each minor child that lives with them.
