Trash Skimmer Needed to Help Clean the Merrimack River

We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the cleaning and preservation of the Merrimack River and the surrounding watershed. CRP was founded in 2005 by Rocky Morrison and a group of volunteers in an effort to stop the continued contamination of the river. We are a hands-on conservation group that has been cleaning the Merrimack River for 16 years now!
As the second largest watershed in New England, the Merrimack River is the source of drinking water for over 600,000 New England residents - despite still being heavily polluted and used as a continued site for illegal dumping.
Our mission is to clean, protect, and provide a safer water supply to the people and wildlife in the many cities and towns who rely heavily on a treasured natural resource for drinking water and pleasure, the Merrimack River.
We are committed to improving water quality by raising environmental awareness through education and prevention, developing community-based projects and programs that reduce and recycle pollution, promoting safe clean waterways, and ensuring healthy drinking water.
Development is increasing along the river as developers gobble up this highly desired property. This means the contamination in and along the river is also growing at a faster pace than we have ever seen before. We need your help!
Funds ($250,000) for us to be able to purchase a trash skimmer boat were passed in a bill and we need your help for us to gain access to these funds. Please help us obtain the funds that were promised to us so we can continue to keep the Merrimack River clean.
