Diabetes is a challenging disease at any age, but in infants, it's horrible. How do you explain to a baby why you need to keep picking them?

Insulin and the supplies for type 1 diabetes, including monitors, should be covered by provincial health plans,

I have T1D and got a CGM when pregnant with my first child. It was life changing for me. My husband received alerts if I got below 55 or over 300 so he can check on me if I am alone or with our kids. I cannot imagine being a parent of a T1D child and not being able to get a CGM on them. The data is so useful for management, it saves countless finger sticks, can provide extra piece of mind over night, and can provide information for parents that children cannot communicate at such a young age.

I am a type 1 diabetic and know how difficult it is to care for MYSELF. I can't even imagine how hard it is to take care of a child with it. I think it should be easier on 5hr parents and the child.
