Cycle Route between Haldon & Kennford - Make it Cycle Friendly

This petition is a call for the link path between Old Haldon Hill and the slip road for the Kennford Exit of the A380 to be changed to a designated cycle path and upgraded and maintained accordingly. This is cleared so rarely that it is usually impassable.
From the top of Old Haldon Hill, the cycle route to Exeter is indicated by a blue cycle route sign. At the bottom of the hill the only way that the cyclist can go is along this path, which although isn’t designated cycle path, also has a blue cycle path sign for Exeter.
The blue route signs are picked up again at the top of the slip road. The current situation seems completely illogical, as to be able to use the signed cycle route, the footpath is essential so we would ask that this few hundred roads of path be designated as part of the official cycle route and upgraded to make it suitable for the purpose.
For cyclists this is the most sensible and direct route which links Exeter to Haldon and beyond. If it was a usable cycle path it would be used by many more leisure cyclists and commuters travelling between Exeter, Newton Abbot and Torbay and the surrounding areas.
