I am Mrs.Rutuja Sarvesh Rane from Mumbai. As most of you might aware of the unfortunate event that happened on Wednesday 6th September 2017 at Kolhapur in which my sister in-law Mrs. Pooja Rupesh Mahadik was brutally murdered by a 16 year old boy and his name is Aftab Sarakwas.
Pooja was stabbed 12 times to death in knife attack at her residence which ended a happy and nice family in a moment. This all happened infront of her 4 year old daughter which caused a huge trauma to the kid.
Given that the culprit is juvenile it seems that he won’t be given the death penalty by the Indian law however the kind of act he has done is not less than any professional murderer which needs to be seriously looked at not just by the government but also the citizens of this country as we all have sisters, daughters and wives?
Don’t we all think that getting the justice for this cruel act is required similar to what happened in Nirbhaya murder case? If we do not kill this mindset, it will lead something extreme in the society which is dangerous for the citizens. The Kubade and Mahadik family are facing this today which might happen to anybody else which should not happen. Criminals of this nature should be given the death sentence otherwise such kind of incidents of heinous crimes by juveniles will lead to rise.
I urge each on of you who is sensitive towards this ask is to be a part of the movement. We need to raise our voice, if needed come on street and show the power of ordinary citizens so that Pooja can get the justice.Pooja Mahadik Murder video
