The Issue

To:

The Council of the Rural Municipality of Tache and Manitonba Transportation and Infrastructure

We the undersigned residents of Linden, Landmark and surrounding areas respectfully request the development of a safe walking and cycling pathway along Provincial Road 210 connecting Linden to Landmark.

Currently there is no safe route for pedestrians, runners, cyclists, or children travelling between communities which presents significant safety concerns due to vehicle traffic, limited shoulder space, weather conditions and visibility challenges.

A gravel or paved multi-use pathway would improve public safety, promote healthy activity living, increase accessibility for walking, running, cycling and strollers. and strengthen connectivity between the two towns.

As both communities continue to grow, the need for safe active transportation infrastructure becomes increasingly important. Similar pathways in other municipalities have proven valuable for public safety, recreation, and commmunity development.

We urge RM of Tache and Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure to conduct a feasibility and safety assessment and prioritize this project for the safety and wellbeing of local residents.
