This petition represents the vested interest of the undersigned, as a unified communication from the gaming community as a whole.

For far too long, the gaming community has been fighting a war against people who generalize and stereotype games as violent murder simulators.  We have come very far in our efforts to evolve the industry to the point where games are used not only as a vehicle for entertainment, but also for furthering education, and innovation in science (simulations).

What Destructive Creations will do by releasing this game is effectively regress almost all of the effort in recent years to establish gaming as a legitimate business.  

In a time where we are all deeply saddened by similar tragedies that have occurred, this atrocity is not only misplaced but completely distasteful in addition to the major risk it poses to the industry as a whole.

From both the players and the creators of the games we know and love, we request Hatred be permanently shut down.  No amount of negative publicity for profit is worth the potential risks of having this game released.
