We need LOCAL SUPPORT to show Destination NSW that the Sapphire Coast can hold premier events.

Some stats about the event and the funding status:

• EOI submitted to DNSW approved – formal detailed proposal submitted, complete with tourism data
• Annual MTB event with attractive new 3 day format and tourism partnership
• 2,000 + people in region over three day long weekend – Melbourne, Sydney, ACT – key markets
• National and international coverage
• Partnership with leading digital media agency Flow Mountain Bike
• Destination Partnerships secured in Queensland/Sunshine Coast (June 2022), Victoria/East Gippsland (late March 2022) and Tasmania/NW Tasmania (Nov 2022)
• Courses – our Course Director has drafted initial courses and he is genuinely excited by the high quality and brilliant rider experience. Once funding approval is obtained he will liaise closely to finalise the courses and engagement with the local MTB community
• DNSW are assessing internally – we are not sure if funding is going to be approved, which would very disappointing for the region and also the Quad Crown MTB Series as we will launch with only three of the four destinations (scheduled mid-December 2021).
• Action: we believe that if we can get a final concerted push from the local community across the whole region over the next week then we may get a favourable response, which is what we all want to achieve!
